Pumped up by last year’s successful edition of ‘Delhi Kala Utsav,’ ‘Sanskar Bharati’ Delhi Province has returned with it. It is scheduled on December 16-17 at Ravindra Bhavan, Mandi House.

The event aims to foster artistic perspectives among art lovers and enthusiasts of Delhi, promoting cultural values and heritage. Renowned and emerging artists from Delhi-NCR will showcase their exquisite talents during the festival.

The central theme of this year’s festival is ‘Samarasata ke Nayak Ram’ (The Hero of Harmony – Ram). In the context of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in January 2024, the festival will provide an insight into Lord Rama’s life.

Approximately one hundred artists will exhibit paintings and sculptures portraying Lord Rama and the harmonious society. The festival will also feature traditional and vanishing art forms such as puppetry, pottery, bioscope, folk dances, and folk songs. Additionally, there will be stalls offering Delhi’s famous and delectable cuisine. The festival aims to disseminate the ideals of Lord Rama and messages of equality and harmony through mediums like music, dance, singing, drama, poetry, and more.

For the youth and college students, a special poster and photography competition is being organized, focusing on Lord Rama and the ancient temples of Delhi.

‘Sanskar Bharati’ Delhi Province is organizing this grand event with the support of the Sahitya Akademi, Lalit Kala Akademi, and Sangeet Natak Akademi. The organizing committee’s chairman, Mahendra Gupta, who is also the Treasurer of Delhi Pradesh, stated that ‘Delhi Kala Utsav’ is not just a festival; it is an opportunity for Delhiites to connect with their rich and ancient cultural heritage.

Entry to the festival is free, allowing art enthusiasts and families to come and enjoy Delhi’s art, culture, and cuisine. ‘Sanskar Bharati’ is a national organization dedicated to art and literature, working collaboratively with various cultural institutions to preserve and promote art, literature, and culture while encouraging and supporting artists.
