Dilli Gharana, an organisation working in the field of art & culture with the support of Delhi Tourism is organising a three-day cultural event -Dilli Durbar 2024 at Gandhi Darshan Park & Museum, Rajghat, New Delhi.
Dilli Durbar 2024 will conduct a comprehensive range of activities like musical performances, discussions, workshops, and exhibitions.
The three-day event will see the performances like Hindustani classical recital by Kokab Rashid, tribute to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan – Sufi performance by Aditi, Sufi strings violin performance by Asghar Hussain & Troupe, Naghma-e-Khusro Sufi performance by Vusat Iqbal Khan, Call to God – Qawwali performance by Rais Anis Sabr and M.A.D (Music & Donate) Rockstar – performance by Kashmiri singer Baabarr Mudacer.
Experts will be discussing different topics on the occasion. “Women & Spirituality” Vusat Iqbal Khan would be in conversation with Rekha Bhardwaj, Meditation Workshop by Anika Singh, Zikr Workshop by Hazrat Riyazuddin Chishty, “Sur Sadhna, Finding God through Music” Sadhna Shrivastava in conversation with Usha Uthup & Shubha Mudgal, “Women & Spirituality” Vusat Iqbal Khan in conversation with Rekha Bhardwaj, “The Practical Spiritualist” – Azhar Iqbal in conversation with Hans Raj Hans, “The Evergreen Rumi” Khurafati Nitin in conversation with Imtiaz Ali shall also follow during the festival.
The organisers said that this celebration is of love and spirituality. “Our goal is to safeguard, preserve, promote and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of music of India, as well as Delhi, that the Gharana has been carrying forward since 13th century,” said an organiser.
The Dilli Durbar Music Festival stands as a testament to this sacred pursuit, offering a platform to honour the teachings of mystics and uphold the timeless essence of spirituality, transcending boundaries and enriching souls through the enchanting language of music.
