Making manifestos

What: Manifestos have often served as a means by which individuals and groups state intentions. Could manifestos play a role in how we envision the future and move forward at this moment? Titled ‘The Artists’ Way’ it’s a series of experimental workshops hosted virtually by Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and led bypractising artists who have been using workshops, different pedagogic and collaborative methods to develop projects and ideas. The series is imagined as an exploratory platform, with part pedagogic intent, raising new questions and doubts with playfulness and sometimes involving a collective/collaborative production towards the end of the workshop. Happening over two days, this online workshop is free, participatory in nature and involves working in groups.

When: 19 -20 September (4pm – 6:30pm)

Where: Website of Kiran Nadar Museum of Art

Musical fiesta

What: The India Music Summit, Asia’s largest gathering of brilliant musical minds under one roof, has over the past three years got the best artists from India and beyond to talk, discuss, debate and perform at their flagship Summit in Jaipur. The Summit has been a congregation from 2017 to 2019 where music lovers and musicians came together not just to listen but to engage with music in different ways. The three-day immersion in all things music ranging from workshops to early morning concerts as well as high decibel performances about the art, science and technology of music is unique and never been seen before on any platform. The diversity of artists ranges from classical to Sufi, folk to devotional and Bollywood to fusion, top names associated include Pandit Jasraj, Rashid Khan Parveen Sultana, Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Usha Uthup, Papon, amongst others.
