What: Bringing together the finest terracotta artisans from all over the country, Delhi Blue Pottery Trust is back again with Terrafest. Starting with only 12 artisans in 2015, this year the festival will be showcasing 21 artisans. It aims at providing a platform for them to showcase a range of earthenware, to market not only products but also skills. It’s an occasion where they interact with each other, as well as with ceramic artists, collectors, and the many members of the general public who appreciate their work. This edition will see terracotta artisans presenting their work from 10 states: Manipur, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. Like in previous years, a number of workshops are being organised during the Terrafest, all of which are open for public participation.

Comic relief

A rip-roaring comedy, this is a first-of-its- kind play about the “Hindustanisation” of English as demonstrated by two school students – the ‘studious’ Kamta Prasad and the ‘sporty’ Samta Prasad from Banaras in their battle with a foreign language.  The play revolves around hockey and history, cricket and chemistry, gulli danda and geography. With 185 shows to its credit, the play is running since 2002, and has been performed all over India and abroad.
