Fire & Form, a solo exhibition by ceramic artist Keshari, will open at Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, on August 11 and continue until August 18. Curated by Uma Nair and supported by 108 Art Projects, the exhibition presents more than 30 recent stoneware works.

Developed over more than three decades of ceramic practice, the exhibition features vessels, platters, sculptural forms and a monumental stoneware installation inspired by the landscapes, textures and cultural memory of Rajasthan. Working from his studio in Bhainslana near Jaipur, Keshari combines functional pottery, architectural ceramics and contemporary sculpture, with every stage of the process—from preparing clay and developing mineral glazes to kiln construction and atmospheric firing—forming an integral part of his artistic practice.

According to curator Uma Nair, Keshari’s works embody a deep understanding of material, process and transformation. She notes that his sculptures move between monumentality and intimacy, reflecting the rhythms of the earth, the power of fire and the enduring beauty of handmade craftsmanship.

The exhibition also highlights the artist’s international recognition, including participation in Multiple Realities: Voices in Contemporary Indian Ceramics at the ClayArch Gimhae Museum in South Korea and the Latvia Ceramics Biennale at the Rothko Museum. Keshari is also a recipient of the National Award and the President’s Award for his contribution to Indian studio ceramics.

Through stoneware forms shaped by clay, minerals and fire, Fire & Form explores the dialogue between utility and sculpture, celebrating craftsmanship, material experimentation and the transformative possibilities of ceramics.

When: August 11–18; 11 AM to 7 PM

Where: Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi
