A solo exhibition of sculptures by acclaimed artist Suresh Kumar will open at the Lalit Kala Akademi’s Gallery Foyer, Rabindra Bhavan, from January 4 to January 10. The show brings together a compelling body of sculptural works that reflect the artist’s long-standing engagement with form, space, and human expression.

Known for his refined craftsmanship and strong conceptual grounding, Kumar’s works explore the dialogue between material and meaning. His sculptures move beyond mere physicality, inviting viewers to reflect on inner states, movement, and the subtle relationship between form and emotion.

The exhibition foregrounds a contemporary sculptural language that balances precision with sensitivity. Through carefully composed forms, Kumar examines how space, volume, and texture interact, creating works that resonate both visually and philosophically.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by J Nandakumar, National Convenor of Prajna Pravah, who will attend as the Chief Guest.

By presenting this collection at one of India’s premier art institutions, the exhibition offers art lovers, students, and critics an opportunity to engage closely with the evolving practice of an artist known for his thoughtful and disciplined approach to sculpture.

When: January 4–10; 11:00 AM–7:00 PM

Where: Gallery Foyer, Lalit Kala Akademi, Rabindra Bhavan, 35 Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi
