LG has announced its latest UltraGear evo gaming monitor lineup ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, introducing three high-end displays powered by its new on-device 5K AI Upscaling technology. The range includes a 39-inch OLED monitor, a 27-inch Mini LED display, and a massive 52-inch ultra-wide model, all designed to deliver high-resolution gaming with enhanced visual processing.

The UltraGear evo series will be showcased publicly at CES 2026, with pricing and availability to be revealed closer to launch.

LG UltraGear evo: Key features

The standout feature across the lineup is LG’s 5K AI Upscaling, which uses built-in processing to analyse and enhance lower-resolution content in real time, eliminating the need for GPU-based upscaling.

The flagship 39-inch UltraGear evo (39GX950B) features a 5K2K OLED panel with a resolution of 5120×2160 and a 165Hz refresh rate, which can be boosted to 330Hz using Dual Mode at lower resolutions. It uses LG’s Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology for higher brightness and improved colour accuracy. The monitor has a 21:9 aspect ratio with a 1500R curve, offering the vertical height of a 32-inch display while providing extra width for multitasking and immersive gaming. It also supports a 0.03ms response time and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500.

LG is also introducing what it claims is the world’s first 5K Mini LED gaming monitor with the 27-inch UltraGear evo (27GM950B). The display features over 2,300 local dimming zones to minimise blooming and improve contrast. It supports 5K resolution at 165Hz or QHD at up to 330Hz via Dual Mode, with peak brightness reaching 1,250 nits. Like the OLED model, it includes on-device AI upscaling and real-time image optimisation.

At the top end of the range is the 52-inch UltraGear evo (52G930B), which LG says is the world’s largest 5K2K gaming monitor. It features a 12:9 aspect ratio, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 1000R curvature designed to fill the user’s field of view. The display offers the vertical height of a 42-inch 16:9 screen while extending significantly wider, making it suitable for immersive gaming and multitasking setups.
