OnePlus may be gearing up to launch a smartphone with its biggest battery yet, if a new report is to be believed. The device, tipped to be called the OnePlus Turbo, is expected to feature a massive 9,000mAh battery and could arrive in India as part of the company’s Nord lineup.
According to a report by Android Headlines, the OnePlus Turbo will be positioned as a mid-range smartphone and is likely to debut in China in January 2026. The handset is said to sport a 6.8-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset.
In terms of design, the phone is expected to follow the recent OnePlus aesthetic, featuring a squircle-shaped camera module placed at the top left and a glossy plastic back. The device is tipped to come with a dual rear camera setup, though detailed camera specifications are yet to surface.
Li Jie Louis, President of OnePlus China, recently hinted on Chinese social media platform Weibo that the upcoming Turbo series will offer “frighteningly strong” performance, battery life and gaming capabilities compared to other smartphones in its segment.

The OnePlus Turbo is expected to be rebranded as a Nord-series device for the Indian market and could be launched around March 2026, possibly at the Mobile World Congress. If the reports hold true, it would surpass the recently launched OnePlus 15R, which packs a 7,400mAh battery, making it the company’s largest battery smartphone so far.
