Guru Pranam Utsav: A Celebration of Music and Dance

Guru Pranam Utsav Part 2 is set to enchant audiences with a vibrant celebration of music and dance on May 17, 2024, starting from 7 pm. The event will take place at Stein Auditorium, Indian Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Renowned Padmashree Guru Kiran Sehgal will grace the occasion as the Honourable Guest.

The program will feature Hindustani Vocal performances by Guru Anirban Bhattacharya and his talented disciples, including Sidharth Kishore.

Guru Jyoti Shrivastava, the organiser, expressed her gratitude for the 36 years of Guru Pranam festivals, dedicated to honouring her Guru, Srinath Raut. This year’s highlight will be performances of Raut’s own creations, predominantly from the 1960s and 70s. Notably, alongside Odissi, the festival will showcase a captivating Manipuri dance performance.

This year, the Guru Pranam Utsav unfolds in two parts. The first segment took place on April 30 in Delhi, while the second segment will captivate audiences on May 17 at the India Habitat Centre.

The lineup for the event includes Odissi performances by Jyoti Shrivastava and her adept senior disciples: Kaori Naka, Pankhuri Shrivastava, Khyati Rawat, Sanvi Rastogi, Sikhsha Sinha, and Vidushi Sawant. Additionally, Sangani Kumar, a disciple of Guru Kiran Sehgal, will showcase her mesmerising Odissi skills.
