Art Alive Gallery will host a solo exhibition of artist Yashwant Deshmukh titled Horizons of Memory, opening on September 10 and running until September 30.
The exhibition brings together Deshmukh’s recent works, which continue his engagement with architectural forms, abstraction and the idea of space as a site of memory. His canvases feature muted tones, geometric structures and textured surfaces that depict doors, walls and crevices, evoking stillness and contemplation.
While the works are drawn from familiar objects and spaces, the artist describes them as atmospheres rather than narratives, shaped by layers of memory and observation. The absence of human figures in the compositions adds to their quiet, meditative quality, allowing viewers to engage with the spaces in a personal way.

According to the gallery, the exhibition reflects Deshmukh’s long-standing interest in the transformation of everyday forms into abstract visual language. “Horizons of Memory delves into the nuances of everyday life through a contemplative vocabulary of forms, tones and gradations,” said Sunaina Anand, Director of Art Alive Gallery.
