Parallels of Perception, the debut group exhibition by The Quartz Collective, will be held at Shridharani Art Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, from June 8 to 15. Curated by Georgina Maddox, the exhibition brings together five contemporary women artists — Nitasha Jaini, Gitanjali Kashyap, Ritu Aggarwal, Ritu Singh and Shikha Gupta — whose works examine perception, identity, resilience and transformation through diverse artistic approaches.

The exhibition highlights the role of collective artistic dialogue and explores how women artists create spaces for solidarity, expression and cultural engagement. Through abstraction, figuration, geometry, texture and mixed media, the participating artists present narratives that are both deeply personal and widely relatable.

Nitasha Jaini’s figurative works critique corporate patriarchy and gender conditioning through observations of urban life. Gitanjali Kashyap’s meditative abstractions draw on light, geometry and spiritual repetition, inspired by sacred practices and minimalist aesthetics. Ritu Aggarwal explores illusion, architectural forms and geometric abstraction, while Ritu Singh’s layered mixed-media works engage with ecological concerns, cosmic energy and emotional turbulence through vibrant textures and colour.

Shikha Gupta’s practice focuses on healing, memory and emancipation through abstraction and collaborative art therapy initiatives with marginalised communities. Together, the artists present a conversation on perception, inner strength and the evolving presence of women’s voices in contemporary art.

The organisers describe the exhibition as an exploration of shared experiences and individual perspectives, encouraging viewers to reflect on the many ways perception shapes personal and collective realities.

When: June 8–15; 11 AM to 7 PM

Where: Shridharani Art Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi
