Artist Nilansu Bala Sasamal will present a new exhibition titled Power of Energy at Annexe Art Gallery, New Delhi. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 8 to 14 , daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A special preview will take place on Wednesday, May 7 at 6:30 PM.

Power of Energy is a collection of paintings and installations that explore energy as a vital, invisible force present in every part of life — from nature to the human spirit. Using mixed media, natural materials, and rich textures, Sasamal captures the many forms of energy: physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental.

“Energy is at the heart of all life — invisible, powerful, and transformative,” says Sasamal. “Through my work, I try to show how it flows through everything — the heat of the sun, the pulse of a river, or the quiet strength of the soul.”

The exhibition reflects on the dual nature of energy — its power to heal or harm, to sustain or deplete. It also draws deeply from Indian traditions and spiritual beliefs, especially the idea of shakti, the divine feminine force.

“In Indian philosophy, energy is sacred,” Sasamal explains. “Shakti is the creative, dynamic energy of the universe. I wanted to honour that idea and bring it into a contemporary context.”

More than a visual experience, Power of Energy invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their inner strength. “Art has the power to awaken us,” the artist says. “This show is my way of asking people to consider how they use their energy — and how they can find balance within and around them.”
