Budding artist Kaasvi Jain is all set to present her first solo art exhibition titled “Whispers of the Heart” at the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS). The exhibition will be open to the public from May 23 to 29.

A graduate in textile design and a lover of fashion, Kaasvi discovered her passion for painting during the Covid-19 pandemic. What started with painting the walls of her home soon turned into a serious artistic journey. “Covid hit, and the walls were white. I turned them into a canvas. That’s when I realised I have to bring my story to the canvas,” she said.

Her artworks are known for their realistic style and emotional depth. The exhibition will showcase a variety of still-life charcoal works and other thought-provoking pieces. Notable among them is “Chanda” (2023), a painting of a female horse symbolising strength and grace, and “The Pouring Soul” (2023), which represents emotional vulnerability and human connection.

Kaasvi has also announced that she will donate the earnings from the exhibition to a social cause. “My life has often been seen as a black-and-white canvas. There has been prejudice, but my friends and family supported me,” she said. Through her art, she hopes to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusivity.

When: May 23 – 29

Where: All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS Art Gallery), Rafi Marg, New Delhi
