Antimatter Films and Images International launched their upcoming socio-thriller Cash…M…Kash at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi, unveiling the title poster and announcing the start of production.
The event, attended by former Union Minister and Vice-Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Gandhi Darshan Vijay Goel and Delhi’s Art, Culture and Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, focused on how the film seeks to contrast Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals with the materialistic values of contemporary society.
Speaking at the event, Goel praised the film’s attempt to make Gandhi’s message relevant for younger audiences. “People haven’t really understood Gandhi ji,” he said. “There will be research, museums, exhibitions, and speeches, but the real essence of Gandhi’s values is yet to reach the younger generation.”
He described Gandhi’s strength as lying in his spirit of renunciation and sacrifice, adding that these values remain vital in an age of excess. “When I speak, the same line goes through my mind—Vijay Goel, are you following what you are saying or not?” he remarked, underlining the need for self-reflection in public life.
Referring to the film’s symbolic use of the charkha (spinning wheel), Goel said it served as both a historical and moral reference point. “In this film, the charkha gives a message intermittently about whether what we are doing is right or not,” he noted. “But true values are received at home from parents and teachers.”
Mishra lauded the filmmakers for prioritising substance over commercial gain. “Films today shape dialogue, character, and national sentiment,” he said. “Gandhi’s principles reflect the essence of Sanatan Dharma, giving timeless lessons in modern politics. Choosing this subject is courageous, and I believe the team’s commitment to values over profit will make this film truly successful.”

Director Ajit Sinha said the film’s narrative uses Gandhi’s spinning wheel as its central voice and moral compass. “The film does not open with a character, but with the voice of the charkha — Gandhi’s eternal witness,” he explained. “It says, ‘I spun the threads that clothed a revolution… Today, I gather dust in drawing rooms. Children know Gandhi only as a face on currency.’”
The film features Aham Sharma, Saie Tamhankar, Adarsh Barik, Pallavi Singh, Govind Pandey, Durgesh Kumar, Yash, Siddhant Goel and Rune Temte, with music by Vipin Patwa and lyrics by Dr Sagar.
Actor Rajpal Yadav, also present at the launch, spoke about Gandhi’s enduring relevance and extended best wishes to the cast and crew.
