Apple iPhone 17: Apple is set to launch the iPhone 17 series in September 2025, featuring four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The Plus variant will be discontinued due to weak sales. The new series is expected to introduce significant design changes, upgraded hardware, and enhanced camera features.
Design and Display
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be the thinnest iPhone ever, with a thickness between 5mm and 6.25mm. It will feature a 6.6-inch display, sitting between the Pro and Pro Max models. The standard iPhone 17 will retain its familiar design but with an improved anti-reflective, scratch-resistant display. Pro models will switch from a titanium frame to an aluminium body with a part-glass, part-metal back. The camera bump design will change as well, with the iPhone 17 Air adopting a single-lens camera in an elongated module, while the Pro models will feature a rectangular aluminium camera module. All models will include a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate and an Always-On display.

Camera Upgrades
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will feature three 48MP sensors for Wide, Ultra-Wide, and Telephoto lenses — the first time Apple has included three high-resolution sensors in one device. The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will have a 48MP primary camera. All models will feature a 24MP front camera.
