Chinese smartphone maker Infinix is set to launch its latest offering, the Infinix Note 50X 5G, in India on March 27, the company confirmed in a press release. The smartphone will come with several new features, including an Active Halo Lighting system and a gem-cut camera module, aiming to offer a stylish design and enhanced functionality.

The Active Halo Lighting feature, which is placed near the rear camera module, is designed to glow in different scenarios such as receiving notifications, working as a selfie timer, showing charging status, and creating dynamic effects during game boot-up, the company said.

The Infinix Note 50X 5G will also feature a segment-first octagonal ‘gem-cut’ camera module, giving the phone a premium look. The rear panel will house a triple camera setup, expected to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an LED flash, along with the Active Halo light.

According to reports, the smartphone is likely to be powered by a MediaTek processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. For selfies, it may offer an 8-megapixel front camera. The device is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery, catering to budget-friendly users who require long battery life.

The company has not revealed the pricing yet, but the Infinix Note 50X 5G is anticipated to be priced in a similar range as its predecessor, the Infinix Note 40X 5G, which launched in August 2024 for Rs 14,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs 15,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

The Infinix Note 40X 5G featured a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 6.78-inch 120Hz Full HD+ display, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging and reverse charging support. The new Note 50X 5G is expected to retain similar features while adding upgraded functionalities like the Active Halo Light and the gem-cut camera design.

The phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart, as confirmed by a live microsite on the e-commerce platform. More details about the smartphone, including its full specifications and pricing, are likely to be revealed in the coming days ahead of its official launch.

Interestingly, Infinix has already launched the Note 50, Note 50 Pro, and Note 50 Pro+ in Indonesia earlier this week, but there is no confirmation yet about the launch of these variants in India.

With its stylish design, budget-friendly pricing, and new features like Active Halo Lighting, the Infinix Note 50X 5G aims to attract consumers looking for an affordable 5G smartphone with standout design elements.
