Lava Blaze Dragon 5G with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip launched in India

Domestic smartphone brand Lava has unveiled the Blaze Dragon 5G, its latest addition to the budget 5G segment. Priced at Rs 9,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, the phone is Lava’s first to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The Blaze Dragon 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, built on a 4nm process by TSMC, and comes equipped with a 6.74-inch HD+ display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and 450 nits peak brightness. It also packs 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging (charger included), the device runs on Android 15 with a clean stock interface—free from bloatware or ads. Lava is promising one year of Android OS updates and two years of security patches.

On the camera front, the Blaze Dragon 5G features a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

The smartphone will be available in two colour options—Golden Mist and Midnight Mist—and will go on sale via Amazon starting 12 PM on August 1.

As part of the Amazon Great Freedom Festival, buyers can avail a Rs 1,000 bank discount, bringing the effective price down to Rs 8,999. An additional Rs 1,000 exchange bonus will also be offered on any smartphone trade-in.
