Vivo V50: Vivo is preparing to introduce its latest smartphone, the V50, in February 2025. While the official launch date is yet to be confirmed, recent leaks have provided insights into its expected pricing and specifications.

Expected Pricing and Potential Increase

As per tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo V50 is likely to be priced at Rs 37,999 in India. Although this figure is not officially confirmed, reports indicate that the smartphone will be positioned under Rs 40,000. If accurate, this would represent a price jump of approximately Rs 3,000 from its predecessor, the Vivo V40, which debuted at Rs 34,999.

Key Features and Performance Enhancements

The Vivo V50 is expected to retain several elements of the V40 while introducing notable improvements.

Processor: Equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, the device is set to deliver solid performance for daily tasks and gaming.

Cameras: The rear setup is likely to feature two 50MP sensors, ensuring high-quality images. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera—similar to the V40—is expected.

Battery: The smartphone is anticipated to house a larger 6,000mAh battery, an upgrade from the 5,500mAh unit found in its predecessor.

Charging Speed: Fast charging support is said to increase to 90W, improving upon the 80W capability of the V40, allowing quicker recharges.

Improved Durability and Design

Water and Dust Resistance: The V50 might offer enhanced protection with IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it more resistant to dust and water—features commonly seen in premium devices.

Design: The smartphone is expected to follow the design language of the V40 while reinforcing durability and performance.

With an upgraded battery, faster charging, and better durability, the Vivo V50 appears to be a promising mid-range contender in 2025. While official details are awaited, these leaks suggest that the device could be a worthwhile successor to the V40.
