The Delhi Assembly, the Delhi Secretariat and an Army Public School received bomb threats on Friday, prompting authorities to intensify security measures across the national capital, an official said.

The threats were later declared a hoax.

A Delhi Fire Service officer said the department received three calls from the Assembly, the Army Public School in Shankar Vihar and the Secretariat.

“Teams were immediately despatched to the three spots. After the dog squad, bomb disposal squad and other teams checked the premises, the threats were declared a hoax,” the officer said.

No suspicious object was found, and further investigation is underway to identify the source of the calls and emails, the officer said.

A high alert has been sounded across the city, with security stepped up at key government installations and other sensitive locations as a precautionary measure, he said.
