Despite scanning over 1,000 CCTV cameras in the vicinity, police said no immediate leads emerged. However, field inquiries revealed suspicious activity in the area during the time of the incident.
“Based on the inputs, four juveniles were traced and taken into custody. During questioning, one of them confessed to the crime, stating that they stabbed the victim while robbing him,” a senior police officer said.
Police recovered the victim’s mobile phone, purse, and documents from the accused. Further investigation is underway.
