A scrap dealer was fatally stabbed outside his shop in north Delhi’s Subzi Mandi area on Sunday, according to police reports.

The Subzi Mandi police station received a call regarding the incident at 4:13 pm, they confirmed.

According to a senior police officer, Vijay was attacked by two individuals outside his shop and succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital.

“It has been revealed that there was a longstanding animosity between both parties, which had escalated over the past month. On March 20, a physical altercation occurred between them, resulting in a cross case being registered,” the officer said.

“In addition, both the accused and the victim’s wives had also made allegations of sexual assault against each other. Further motives will be clarified upon the arrest of the accused,” the officer added.

Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects, with an FIR filed and investigations ongoing,” the officer concluded. (With inputs from PTI)
