SRINAGAR: Sixteen Delhi Metro stations were closed for passenger entry and exit until further instructions on Wednesday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.
In a post on X, the DMRC said trains would not halt at the affected stations. However, interchange facilities will continue to be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.
The stations that have been closed are Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh and Shivaji Stadium.
The DMRC said the stations will remain closed until further instructions and advised commuters to plan their journeys accordingly. No reason for the closure was immediately specified.
