On his 55th birthday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed his gratitude for the birthday wishes he received from the public, while longing for his former deputy, Manish Sisodia, who he said was unjustly imprisoned.

“As I celebrate my birthday today, I am sincerely appreciative of the many well-wishers who have reached out to me. I must express that I deeply miss Manish Sisodia during this time, as he is currently facing a false imprisonment. Together, let us make a solemn commitment to utilize all available means to ensure top-quality education for every child born within our nation,” Kejriwal shared via X, previously known as Twitter.

Turning 55, Kejriwal urged everyone to unite in establishing the fundamental principles for a resilient India. “This endeavor will lay the cornerstone for a robust India, bringing us closer to the realization of our aspiration to lead the world. It is an effort that would surely bring contentment to Manish as well,” he added.

Later in the day, the Delhi Assembly extended its warm wishes to the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), with Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla offering her prayers for his enduring well-being and success in his political journey.

The AAP also joined in commemorating Kejriwal’s special day by hailing him as the “visionary who championed affordable electricity access” and “the leader who demonstrated that government-run Indian schools can rival esteemed private institutions.”

On X, the party conveyed its felicitations, stating, “Warmest birthday greetings to the visionary who transformed essential needs such as education, healthcare, electricity, & water into the cornerstone of our political dialogue. Happy Birthday to the fearless individual who relinquished his comfort to reshape India’s political landscape. A joyful birthday to the son of the soil, who perpetually considers the most marginalized in our society.”

Referring to Kejriwal as the “diplomat who kindled youth engagement in politics,” the party also hailed him as “the leader of the people who nurtured a political movement from its infancy and successfully attained a National Party status within a mere decade.”

“Cheers to the leader who fortified Democracy through his political endeavors. @ArvindKejriwal: The Man. The Myth. The Legend. #HappyBirthdayArvindKejriwal,” the party tweeted.

Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena likewise extended his birthday wishes to the Delhi chief minister, invoking a prayer for his prolonged health and well-being.

“Heartfelt birthday greetings to Chief Minister Shri @ArvindKejriwal ji. I beseech the divine for your enduring good health,” he shared on the social media platform X.
