Delhi: The city recorded a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius on Monday, with weather remaining dry across the city.
The city’s base station at Safdarjung recorded a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius, while Palam registered 24.2 degrees, Lodi Road 24.4 degrees and Ayanagar 24 degrees Celsius.
The Ridge area of the Delhi recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 20.8 degrees Celsius, 3.4 degrees below normal.
None of the five stations recorded rainfall in the 24 hours till 8:30 am on Monday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category with the average air quality index (AQI) being clocked at 166, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
The IMD has predicted mainly clear skies for the day with the maximum temperature likely to touch 35 degrees Celsius.
