
Delhi began the week with “very poor” air quality on Monday, though there was a slight improvement from the previous day.
The morning temperature recorded a low of 20.4 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees above the season’s usual. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 327 at 9 a.m.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI on Sunday had reached 359.

AQI levels are categorised as follows: ‘good’ for 0-50, ‘satisfactory’ for 51-100, ‘moderate’ for 101-200, ‘poor’ for 201-300, ‘very poor’ for 301-400, and ‘severe’ for 401-500.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) observed a humidity level of 88% in the morning.
The weather forecast predicts mainly clear skies through the day, with the maximum temperature likely to peak at around 34.2 degrees Celsius.
