Delhi Election: Delhi Secretariat, the headquarters of the city government, has been sealed to safeguard official files, documents, and computers, following assembly poll results indicating a regime change, officials stated on Saturday.
Acting on the directive of Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Delhi government issued an order instructing all departments, agencies, and camp offices of the council of ministers not to remove any records or files without prior approval from the department.
According to the latest trends, the BJP is poised to return to power in Delhi after more than 26 years, decisively ousting the AAP from the national capital in yet another major victory, further expanding its saffron influence across the country.

The GAD order, addressed to department heads and in-charges, specified that no files, documents, computer hardware, or related materials could be taken out of the Delhi Secretariat complex without prior authorization from the department.
“In view of this, necessary instructions should be issued to branch in-charges within departments and offices located in Delhi Secretariat to ensure the protection of records, files, documents, and electronic files under their respective sections and branches,” the order stated.
The Delhi election proved to be a major setback for AAP, which maintained its hold on the national capital for the last ten years. Senior AAP leaders like national convener Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Saurabh Bharadwaj lost the polls from their respective seats. Kejriwal was defeated from the New Delhi seat by BJP leader Parvesh Verma.
