
Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandirs
The Delhi government on Wednesday launched 81 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the city, which seek to bring healthcare facilities closer home to a large number of residents.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the new health centres at Nangal Raya in southwest Delhi.
With 238 Arogya Mandirs already operational in Delhi, Gupta said these health centres are well-equipped to provide primary healthcare facilities to the people.
“These health centres will reduce the burden on bigger hospitals, providing services to people in their neighbourhood for general ailments,” she added.
Nearly 80 different tests, maternity care, vaccinations, and access to doctors, nurses, medicines, and various other facilities are available here, Gupta said.
The Delhi government intends to open 1,100 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the city in the near future.
