Delhi Metro will commence operations on all its lines from their terminal stations at 4 AM on both voting and counting days to assist staff assigned to election duty, according to a statement issued on Monday.

Trains will run at 30-minute intervals across all lines until 6 AM, after which normal metro services will continue throughout the day, the statement noted.

“On the day of the Delhi Assembly election on February 5 and the vote counting on February 8, Delhi Metro train services on all lines will begin at 4 AM from their terminal stations to facilitate election duty personnel,” it stated.

Additionally, to accommodate polling officials and staff returning late from duty, metro services on all lines will be extended on the night of February 5 and 6.

The last train on the Red Line will now operate until 12 AM instead of 11 PM. On the Yellow Line, services from Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Samaypur Badli will be extended from 11 PM to 11.30 PM, while from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram, the last train will run until 11.45 PM.
