Delhi records minimum temperature of 27.7°C

The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 27.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning, as the weather department predicted partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder and lightning later in the day.

Delhi’s night temperature is 0.1 notches above the seasonal average, and 1.3 degrees higher than the previous day, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 39 degrees Celsius.

Relative humidity was recorded at 55 per cent at 8.30 am.

The air quality was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category at 9 am, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 179, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed.

According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
