Delhi Police have apprehended eight individuals, including two juveniles, in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in northeast Delhi’s Seelampur area, officials confirmed on Sunday.

The arrests were made on Saturday, and six of the accused were identified as Sahil (18), Sohaib (35), Nafish (32), Aneesh (19), Zahida (42), and Vikas (29). A 19-year-old woman named Zikra, who worked as a bouncer for the wife of jailed gangster Hashim Baba, was arrested earlier on 18 April and remanded to two days of police custody.

The victim, Kunal, a resident of New Seelampur, was attacked on the evening of 17 April in J-Block, Jhuggi Seelampur. He was rushed to JPC Hospital by family members, where he was declared dead on arrival.

According to a senior police official, Zikra, Sahil, and the two juveniles planned and executed the deadly assault, while the remaining five accused were involved in harbouring the main perpetrators and aiding their escape.

A case has been registered at Seelampur police station under Sections 103(1) (murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Multiple teams have been formed to investigate the incident.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the killing stemmed from an old enmity. On the day of the incident, the assailants cornered Kunal and stabbed him repeatedly.

Following Zikra’s arrest—locally known as the ‘Lady Don’—police conducted raids across Delhi-NCR and parts of Uttar Pradesh, including Ghaziabad, Meerut, Moradabad, and Amroha.

During interrogation, Zikra disclosed that in November last year, her cousin Sahil was assaulted by Kunal’s friends, Lala and Shambhu. Although Kunal was present during the attack, he was not named in the FIR at the time due to his status as a minor.

Police officials stated that they have gathered evidence substantiating the roles of the accused and are actively working to recover the weapons used in the crime.
