Moderate rain likely in Delhi

The city recorded a minimum temperature of 26.6 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, with the weather office predicting cloudy sky and moderate rain.

The national capital received light to moderate rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, with Ayanagar recording the highest rainfall among the weather stations at 49.3 mm. Safdarjung, the city’s base station, recorded 10.8 mm of rainfall, followed by Palam at 8.3 mm, Lodi Road at 3.9 mm and Ridge at 3 mm.

The minimum temperature at Safdarjung settled at 26.6 degrees Celsius. Palam recorded a minimum of 24.9 degrees Celsius; Lodi Road 26.7 degrees Celsius, Ridge 23.8 degrees Celsius and Ayanagar 25.9 degrees Celsius.

At 9 am, the city’s Air Quality Index stood at 64, in the ‘satisfactory’ category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.
