
Thunderstorms with rain are predicted for the national capital Delhi later in the day on Monday by the meteorological department as the minimum temperature settled at 19.4 degrees Celsius across the city.
The minimum temperature across parts of the city remained in a close range on Monday, with Safdarjung, the city’s base station, logging a minimum temperature of 20.4 degrees Celsius.
Palam registered a minimum of 21 degrees Celsius, while at Lodhi Road, the minimum temperature settled at 19.4 degrees Celsius, and the Ridge station recorded 19.5 degrees Celsius.
Ayanagar recorded a minimum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, the weather department said.
Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ category in the morning, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 166 (moderate), the data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed.
According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.

The maximum temperature is likely to be in the range of 29-31 degrees Celsius, the Met said.
