Two hospitals in Delhi received bomb threats via email, following a recent scare that saw over 150 schools in the national capital facing similar threats.

“An email regarding a bomb threat was received at Burari Hospital. Local police, along with bomb squad and dog squad, swiftly responded to the scene. Currently, teams are conducting thorough checks at the hospital. No suspicious items have been discovered thus far,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) M K Meena.

Additionally, Sanjay Gandhi Hospital was also targeted with a bomb threat. Officials promptly arrived at the scene and initiated inspection procedures.

Last week, schools at Delhi and Gujarat’s Ahmedabad received bomb threats which turned out to be hoax.

The e-mails were sent to 131 schools in Delhi, five in Gurugram, and three in Noida and Greater Noida on May 2. (With inputs from PTI)
