Two travel agents from Delhi have been arrested for allegedly providing fake Poland visas to two individuals, the police reported on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Udaypal Singh, 42, and Tajinder, 51, were apprehended after two passengers were deported from Dubai for travelling with counterfeit visas, officials stated.

As per police accounts, the two passengers, Saurav Kumar and Sumit Kumar from Uttar Pradesh, had planned to travel to Poland via Dubai but were detained at Dubai Airport due to fraudulent travel documents. Upon their return to India, authorities launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of a key agent, Paramjeet Singh. His interrogation exposed the involvement of Udaypal and Tajinder in the scam.

Further inquiries revealed that Udaypal, who had previously been arrested in a similar case in 2024, ran a printing business where he produced fake visas.

Tajinder worked in collaboration with him, helping to arrange fraudulent documentation for unsuspecting travellers in exchange for hefty sums. The duo reportedly charged up to Rs 10 lakh per person for fake visas and travel arrangements, according to an officer.

During questioning, Udaypal admitted to printing at least 11 fake visas before being caught. He disclosed that financial difficulties had driven him to work with other agents in forging travel documents. Tajinder also confessed to his role in the racket, police added.
