Delhi Kala Utsav will be held at Rabindra Bhawan, Mandi House, on February 28 and March 1. Organised by Sanskar Bharati, Delhi Prant, in collaboration with the Government of Delhi, the two-day festival brings together classical and folk art forms, music, theatre, and traditional crafts on a single platform.
Now in its third edition at Mandi House, the festival focuses on presenting a mix of established and emerging artists. It is designed to provide opportunities for young performers while also showcasing practitioners of traditional and contemporary Indian art forms.
The programme includes classical and folk dance, music performances, theatre presentations, poetry sessions, and exhibitions of painting and sculpture. Visitors can also see traditional forms such as puppetry, bioscope shows, pottery demonstrations, lacquer bangle making, and Bahurupiya performances. Book stalls and artisan displays will be part of the festival space.
One of the highlights of the event is a food section featuring traditional dishes associated with Old Delhi, often referred to as Delhi-6. The culinary segment offers visitors a chance to experience regional flavours alongside the artistic presentations.
The festival will run from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM on both days, ahead of the Holi season, and is open to families, students, and visitors interested in Indian cultural traditions.
