An exhibition titled Divine Intervention, featuring paintings by Hiral Singhal, is currently on view at Osho Dham. The exhibition opened on Disciple Day, observed to mark the birth anniversary of Ma Yog Laxmi, the first disciple and secretary of Osho.
Alongside the exhibition, excerpts were read from The Only Life, a biography by Rashid Maxwell that traces Laxmi’s role within Osho’s commune and her spiritual journey. The reading formed part of the day’s programme reflecting on her life and legacy.
The exhibition includes 15 paintings in acrylic and mixed media. Working without formal academic training, Singhal approaches painting through an intuitive process. Her works lean towards abstraction, with layered surfaces, fluid forms and restrained colour palettes that emphasise stillness and interiority rather than narrative imagery.
Speaking about her practice, Singhal said, “My paintings are not planned; they emerge from silence. For me, art is a form of meditation — an offering rather than an expression.”
Singhal was initiated as an Osho sannyasin in 2022 and given the name Ma Prem Arpita. She has previously exhibited at venues including the National Gallery of Modern Art and the India Habitat Centre, among other galleries and art festivals.
The exhibition remains on view as part of Osho Dham’s ongoing public programming.
