Echoes of Silence, a solo exhibition by artist Nidhi Sharma, will open at the Convention Centre Foyer, India Habitat Centre, on July 11 and continue until July 15.

With Uma Nair as curatorial advisor, the exhibition features around 20 landscape paintings inspired by the Himalayas. Rooted in Sharma’s childhood memories of the mountains, the works move beyond physical geography to explore silence, stillness, memory, light and inner emotional landscapes.

A Pranic healer and Reiki Grandmaster, Sharma draws spiritual inspiration from her Guru, Yogananda Paramahansa, author of Autobiography of a Yogi. Her paintings transform mountain ranges, forests and skies into contemplative spaces where colour, atmosphere and memory converge, reflecting themes of perception, introspection and emotional resonance rather than literal landscapes.

According to curatorial advisor Uma Nair, the exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the journey from appearance to the absolute through meditative Himalayan landscapes. She notes that Sharma’s lifelong engagement with the mountains, combined with her spiritual practice, lends the works a quiet sense of grace, timelessness and reflection.

Through subtle hues, expansive skies and layered compositions, Echoes of Silence explores the relationship between nature, memory and spirituality, encouraging viewers to pause and engage with the inner landscapes evoked by the artist’s vision.

When: July 11–15; 10 AM to 8 PM

Where: Convention Centre Foyer, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi
