Paying tribute
What: Organised in collaboration with Cervantes Institute, New Delhi, here’s a film festival that pays tribute to well-known Spanish actress Ángela Molina. One of the most outstanding actresses in Spanish cinema with a career spanning over four decades and an extensive filmography of almost a hundred films, Molina rose to international
prominence in Luis Buñuel’s That Obscure Object of Desire (1977). On the occasion of such a brilliant career, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will award her the Goya Prize Award of honour at the 2021 edition of these awards. In note of that three Spanish feature films will be screened over three weekends in February.
The festival will open with La Sabina, followed by Half of Heaven, and closing with The Things of Love. Vimeo links for each of the films will be sent by email and posted on the website. Each film can be accessed for a period of 48 hours.

Celebrating Raza
What: Block your dates as Triveni Kala Sangam has finally opened its door for a show of personal materials chosen from the Raza Archive. Titled ‘Antrung Raza’, the exhibition is curated by Akhilesh, marking the beginning of the birth centenary celebrations of the iconic master Sayed Haider Raza.

What: The fifth edition of TAP India began in February. The Art Platform India (TAP) is an online one-stop platform created specially to allow collectors and others a chance to view select artworks curated by a collective of pan-Indian art galleries and curators. It offers a great opportunity to buy quality art at exceptional prices. Now one can acquire art of excellent calibre from the luxury of their home. A union of art galleries from all over the country have contributed, collaborated and constituted a vital aspect of this initiative. This edition brings you new exhibitions by six galleries; selected works under a new section on the website called TAP Showcase, (launched in January) featuring an exhibition titled Trees: Nature and Imagination curated by Mitch Crites and Minhazz Mazumdar (M&M). This show explores the versatility of trees both as form and as muse for artists across time and space. TAP Talk features senior advocate Akhil Sibal’s views on censorship and the arts.
