What: Organising yet another memorable evening of music, Pracheen Kala Kendra is back at the Capital, to the delight of the music lovers. In this high-octane evening of musical brilliance, Ustad Usman Khan is going to present his adept performance on Sitar. His musical performance will be perfectly accompanied by Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri on Tabla to bring the evening to a successful end. But before this highly coveted recital, Ustad Usman Khan, along with five other jewels of the world of Indian Classical Music and Dance, will be be bestowed upon Nakshatra Sammans for their outstanding contribution to the world of music and dance.

ISRAELI CONNECT
What: In celebration of the 28th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Israel, the Embassy of Israel brings to India an array of artists who best portray Israeli culture through the medium of art. Bruno Art Group has curated this exhibition with prized represented artists. Titled “Shining Brightly” it features a selection of more than 30 artworks in different mediums, both in traditional and innovative techniques, such as, acrylic and mixed-media paintings, aluminum wall installations, and resin and wood sculptures created by artists that embody contemporary Israeli culture. The slate of artists includes Yaacov Agam – Founder of the Kinetic Art Movement, Calman Shemi – the first artist to
incorporate car paint (epoxy) into fine art, David Gerstein – the first artist to create 3D aluminum wall sculptures, Natan Elkanovich and Uri Dushy – the greatest Pop-artists in Israel among others.

What: After a successful season in Kolkata and Delhi, ‘Arth: A Culture Fest’ is back with a grand second season. Arth celebrates the essence of Indian thought and philosophy by bringing together close to 200 scholars, writers, artists and artisans from across India and the globe as participants. The second edition will also include varied activities, including cultural performances, workshops, visual art installations, live art, etc. Exclusive sessions have been curated for children, which will comprise creative workshops. The festival aims to Rediscover, Reconnect with and Revisit India through art, culture, literature, politics, and society. will also include performances by legendary artistes like Bhai Manohar Singh, Euphoria, Gurdas Mann, Kumar Vishwas, Mame Khan, Mohanakrishnan, SinamBasu Singh, Qutbi Brothers, and Shubha Mudgal.
