The time of the harvest festival is here and with Pongal around the corner, here are some restaurants in the city that can give you the authentic taste and bring Tamil Nadu to your plate

 

Zambar

To celebrate this auspicious festival, Zambar is ready to take you to the traditional lanes of Tamil Nadu with its special menu.  It’s time to replace your plates with banana leaves to taste the flavours and spices of Southern India. The menu will have diverse culinary offerings which include the delicious Kadamba Sambar, Kara Kozhambu, Vendakkai Mor Kuzhambu along with delectable Beans Poriyal, Raw Banana Varuval, Potata Pattani Masal and many more. 

Decked up in traditional Pongal decoration with colourful rangoli, Zambar will also be serving different hearty dishes such as Masala Vada, Medu Vada and Pooni Rice. The celebration promises to take you on a dessert safari with regional delights like Sweet Pongal and Semiya Sabudana Payasam.

Chattynadu

Chattynadu, a unique concept restaurant is bringing alive the flavours of authentic South Indian palette presents Pongal Thali in the truest ‘Dakshin Flavours’. The dishes on the menu like Koot Curry, White Rice, Jaggery Pongal, Fish Moilee, Fish Manga Curry, Neymeen Fry, Poriyal alongside Rasam, Sambar, Murukku will leave an everlasting taste on your buds. 

This thali is a perfect assortment of delicious Dakshin flavours and dishes on a single platter leaving you with a sense of wholesomeness and joy bubbling over. The platter menu has a mix of age-old personal recipes with the delectable appetizers, main course and desserts with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

To further enhance your dining experience, Chattynadu serves using brass utensils on banana leaves giving the customers an authentic feel. Space is an accurate brick and mortar representation of South Indian heritage, beautifully expressed on canvas through intricately designed sculptures and murals.
