Jhelum: A Kashmiri Pandit Food Festival

Crowne Plaza Today Gurugram is set to host Jhelum, a Kashmiri Pandit food festival from November 14 to 23. Featuring a range of traditional dishes, the festival aims to showcase the depth of Kashmiri Pandit cuisine, under the culinary guidance of Chef Rahul Wali and Executive Chef Sandeep Saini.

The festival, named after the iconic Jhelum River in Kashmir, highlights a curated selection of authentic dishes, including Rogan Josh, Nadir Kebab, Warimuth Kebab, and Kabargah Mutton. This menu, available at the hotel’s Kaansa restaurant and Café G, is intended to offer a true taste of Kashmir’s culinary heritage.

“Jhelum is our tribute to the timeless flavours of Kashmiri Pandit cuisine,” says Gaurav Apte, Area General Manager of Crowne Plaza Gurugram. “We’re excited to bring these authentic dishes to our guests, celebrating the rich traditions of Kashmiri flavours”.

Chef Rahul Wali, who has crafted the menu, notes the importance of authenticity, “This menu is close to my heart and represents the essence of Kashmiri Pandit cooking—simple, flavourful, and steeped in tradition. We’ve taken care to recreate each dish with authenticity, offering our guests an experience as genuine as possible”.

The Jhelum festival will be held from 7:00 PM onwards at Café G and from 8:00 PM at Kaansa, Crowne Plaza Gurugram.
