Visual Art Gallery at India Habitat Centre will host a solo painting exhibition titled ‘Realms of Peace – V’ by noted artist Bhaskar Singha from August 7 to 10. The show will be inaugurated on August 6 at 6:30 PM and is open to all art lovers.
Known for his reflective and meditative style, Bhaskar Singha’s work explores themes drawn from Indian philosophy, everyday life, and contemporary social issues. His artistic journey spans nearly 30 years, evolving from intricate watercolour techniques to acrylic on canvas—while maintaining a signature softness and spiritual undertone.
The exhibition will showcase a selection of his recent works, including pieces inspired by Sanatan philosophy and the teachings of the Ramakrishna Mission. His paintings often feature symbolic elements—like a breeze on a beach or a lone figure in motion—highlighting inner transformation and moments of stillness.
“This exhibition continues my search for peace through art, drawing on colour, silence, and emotion,” said Bhaskar Singha. “It’s not just about what you see, but what you feel and reflect upon.”

Some of his notable works include Youth, Maa Sarodha, and visual tributes to Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, and Satyajit Ray. Earlier editions of Realms of Peace have been exhibited at galleries across India, including Jehangir Art Gallery (Mumbai), Birla Academy (Kolkata), and Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (Bangalore). His 2023 show at Visual Art Gallery received acclaim for its spiritual depth and visual clarity.
The inauguration will be attended by several cultural figures, including writer and curator Sushma K. Bhal, Routes 2 Roots directors Rakesh Gupta and Tina Vachani, artist Ashok Bhowmick, and art curator Johny M.L.
