A kathak dance recital by Anupama Jha titled ‘Swayatra – Journey of the Soul’, arrests the audience’s attention as the artist introspects her life in sync with her graceful movements. Jha is a multi-faceted kathak exponent and a follower of the world-renowned kathak maestro and Padma Shri awardee Guru Dr Shovana Narayan. Her performances are marked with clarity of movements and scintillating pirouettes. Known for her diligent participation in various social causes such as the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign for girl child education and empowerment in Bihar through her dance, her kathak dance recital too touches on several social issues as she narrates her journey of self-reflection.
