With a cheerful and lively ambience, the 11 stations at this food court in Kirti Nagar offer a variety of cuisines under one roof

DoN’t you enjoy going to food courts? Well, this one is not in a mall but in a restaurant. The Market Place located in Kirti Nagar, West Delhi, is one such place where you can see a dozen cuisines being prepared in front of you.

No wonder the place is a favourite haunt for kitty parties, school kids’ get-togethers and family reunions. With cheerful service, the team makes sure you satisfy your hunger cravings in a happy mood.

“From the chaat of Delhi-6 to the pasta of Rome’s streets, from the curries of North India to the burgers of America, from the best of Beijing’s Chinese to Lebanese shawarmas, from the steamy momos in Nepal to chilling cocktails, we have it all and more, with our own twists and twirls,” says the proud owner Shivam Sehgal.

So be prepared to choose from 11 stations inside the restaurant. There is ‘Kung Fuud’ — here you get sushi the way you like it accompanied with your DIY meal bowls. ‘Yalla Yalla’ is the Lebanese food station, tempting you to taste delicious falafel and juicy shawarma.

‘Brooklyn Bridge’ will welcome you to relish burgers and wood fired pizzas with a fries and nuggets bar. Here ‘Chicken Keema Pizza’ is a hot dish with bhuna chicken keema topped on pizza and extra loaded cheese. If fast food is not your call of the day, settle down with a pasta of your choice, salads and grills at ‘Ciao Europa’.

‘Hungry Monk’ is all about pan-fried dumplings, to Schezwan veggies to Shanghai chicken: this Nepalese counter has it all.   Your very own North Indian food is at ‘Angeethi’ where traditional biryanis with a modern twist, galoutis, curries and tandoor starters are very popular.

‘Utsav’, as the name suggests, is a celebration counter where every month one regional cuisine is celebrated in all its grandeur. For chaat lovers, ‘Supreme Chaat’ is the station to look for and enjoy the inevitable golgappas and palak patta chaat. ‘Shugga’ is meant to satisfy your sweet cravings with choices of several desserts and bakery items. Do not miss the special Rasmalai in unique chocolate and rose flavours and Malpua with rabri.

‘Paan Banaras Wala’ will make sure you round off your meal with the best varieties of paan. For lovers of drinks, ‘Mrs Sippy’ awaits — a fictional name punning on ‘sip’!  Cocktails that are also creativekly named — like the Gossip, High Heels and LBD (little black dress) — are available at this bar station.
