Once again it’s Virat kohli, along with a crucial knock from Hardik Pandya, who carried Team India’s performance on his shoulders to a decisive victory.

Sunday’s innings was measured with the champion’s strong technique and grit determination, and perhaps the iconic performance one will ever come across.

The two back-to-back sixes against Pakistan’s finest bowler on the field today in the last over was the game’s defining moment. The backfoot smash that carried right down the ground for six, and the following ball, an unorthodox flick over fine-leg, a shot that Virat seldom plays, and to execute it at such a key stage of the game, it doesn’t get any better than this the art of batting doesn’t get any better than this.

India’s top order once again fell short in the 160-run chase, leaving the team in trouble at 31 for 4 wickets, with only Suryakumar Yadav reaching double figures. This inning was a true virat kohli classic as Virat kept one end solid from his end to keep the strike rotating from going full speed against the powerful Pakistan bowling attack. Virat kohli scored 82 runs of 53 balls with four sixes and six boundaries and twenty singles and seven doubles.

The fact that Virat is the chase master and one of his own is testament to his adaptability and game understanding. Virat scored 21 runs in the first 25 balls he faced and 61 runs in the final 28 deliveries he faced, taking on every bowler in the powerful Pakistani bowling attack.

With this inning, Virat Kohli has now gone unbeaten in chasing for the 18th time and has won all of India’s games. This innings felt just like the one in Mohali during the 2016 World Cup. He was batting with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and needed 39 runs in the final three overs, and today he was batting with Hardik Pandya and needed 55 runs in the final four overs. Virat rose to the occasion and scored the most runs in both innings making it big when it mattered the most.

Virat Kohli has now become the Indian cricket team’s top run scorer in t-20 world cups, and he has also successfully chased down a mark 18 times while being undefeated.
