Samsung is gearing up to introduce a 16GB RAM variant of its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone in select Asian markets, including India. According to reports, this enhanced version aims to offer a significant performance boost compared to the standard 12GB RAM configuration.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to come in three storage capacities: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. While the 12GB RAM model will serve as the standard option globally, markets such as South Korea, China, India, and Vietnam are likely to see the exclusive 16GB RAM edition.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumoured to feature a new flat-frame design with rounded edges, marking a departure from the angular aesthetics of its predecessors. The smartphone will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, promising significant performance enhancements.

In terms of photography, the device is said to include a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, possibly the Samsung JN3, replacing the 12MP sensor used in previous models. The phone might also debut second-generation Gorilla Glass Armor, which is designed to improve durability and reduce glare on the display.
The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus are expected to see minor design tweaks, such as brighter displays and thinner bezels. Both models are also rumoured to adopt the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, moving away from the Exynos lineup, which may be due to manufacturing constraints.
Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025 is scheduled to take place in San Jose, California, on January 22. The event will start at 11:30 PM IST and will be live-streamed on Samsung India’s website, the Samsung Newsroom India platform, and the company’s YouTube channel.
