Xiaomi 15 Ultra launched in India: Know specifications, other details

Xiaomi 15: Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China on February 27, expanding its flagship lineup alongside the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. Introduced just before MWC 2025 in Barcelona, the device succeeds last year’s Xiaomi 14 Ultra and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, running on the new HyperOS 2.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is priced at CNY 6,499 (approx. ₹78,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB models are available for CNY 6,999 (approx. ₹84,000) and CNY 7,799 (approx. ₹93,000), respectively. It comes in black, silver, pine green, cypress green, and white. Xiaomi also offers a Professional Imaging Kit for CNY 999 (approx. ₹12,000).

The smartphone features a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,200 nits peak brightness. It supports HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision for an immersive visual experience. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC (3nm, up to 4.32GHz) is paired with Adreno 830 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, delivering high performance.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a quad-camera setup within a circular module. It consists of a 50MP Sony LYT900 primary sensor (1-inch, OIS, f/1.63 aperture), a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor (f/1.8, 3x optical zoom, 75mm focal length), a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 telephoto sensor (100mm focal length, f/2.6 aperture), and a 50MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 115° FoV). The device supports 8K at 30fps and 4K at 60fps video recording. A 32MP front camera (f/2.0 aperture) handles selfies and video calls.

Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, NavIC, and USB Type-C, while security is enhanced with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is also IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.

In terms of dimensions, the black and white models measure 161.3mm × 75.3mm × 9.35mm and weigh 226g, while other variants are slightly thicker at 9.48mm with a weight of 229g. With cutting-edge technology and premium features, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra stands as a strong competitor in the flagship smartphone market.
