The CBI has disrupted a child trafficking operation in the national capital and successfully rescued two newborns, officials said on Saturday.
Following a tip-off about the trafficking ring, federal probe agency officials carried out searches at various locations in Delhi and Haryana on Friday evening.
During the operation, the two infants were recovered at a site in Keshavpuram. Authorities have detained a woman responsible for selling the infants and the man who purchased them, and they are currently under interrogation, according to officials.
Furthermore, additional suspects linked to the child trafficking ring are also undergoing questioning. (With inputs from PTI)
