Delhi: The national capital on Monday woke up to a windy and pleasant morning as the minimum temperature settled at 25.6 degrees Celsius, 2.3 degrees below the season’s average, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). However, the air quality of the city was recorded as ‘satisfactory’.

The relative humidity at 8:30 am stood at 83 percent, said the weather office. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 56.
The weather office predicted generally cloudy skies with light rain during the day, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius.

The weather office predicted that from July 8 to July 14, Delhi will witness generally cloudy skies with varying chances of light rain throughout the week.
“On July 9, the minimum temperature will settle at 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will stand at 36 degrees Celsius. On July 10, Delhi will witness a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, with generally clouded sky and very light to light rain”, weather official stated.
“On July 11, minimum temperatures will dip to 28 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will soar to 36 degrees Celsius, with generally clouded sky and very light to light rain. On July 12, clouded sky will hover the national capital and light rain is also expected,” predicted IMD.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
