Moderate rain likely in Delhi

Delhi recorded light rainfall in the past 24 hours, with the weather office forecasting moderate rain and a maximum temperature of around 35°C

The city recorded a minimum temperature of 27.8 degrees Celsius on Monday, with the weather office predicting moderate rain.

The Ridge area recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the city at 24 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded a minimum of 24.8 degrees Celsius. Lodhi Road and Ayanagar recorded 27.4 and 27.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The city received light rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8.30 am, with Safdarjung recording 3.4 mm, Palam 10.6 mm and Lodhi Road 2.7 mm.

Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category, with the average air quality index (AQI) being clocked at 105, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.

The weather office has predicted generally cloudy skies and moderate rain in the city, with the maximum temperature likely to touch 35 degrees Celsius.
